Security Tips on RHB Investment Bank Mobile Apps ("Mobile Apps")

For security reasons and the integrity of user personal information, we have prevented some mobile device functionalities/applications from taking certain actions on the Mobile Apps. You may need to disable or uninstall some of the applications from your device to continue using our Mobile Apps.

Stay safe with us by practicing the following Security Tips while using our Mobile Apps.

1. Download/Update via Legitimate Source

   Ensure that you download and update the Mobile Apps from legitimate source such as Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

2. Avoid Using USB Debugging

   USB debugging is often used by developers or IT support people to connect and transfer data from an Android device to a computer. While this feature is useful, the device isn't as secure when connected to a computer.

3. Use Trusted Third Party Keyboard

   Third-party keyboards potentially contain hidden malicious applications that can access all the data that users type, including usernames, passwords, bank account numbers, credit card details as well as other personal and sensitive information.

   Trusted and whitelisted keyboards are:

   1. GBoard
   2. Google MultiLanguage Keyboard (i.e. Pinyin, Tamil, etc)
   3. SwiftKey
   4. Samsung Keyboard Neural Beta (3rd party bundled non-default keyboard for Samsung)
   5. Kika OEM Keyboard (3rd party bundled non-default keyboard for Huawei)
4. Do Not Use Rooted Device

   Rooting disables some of the built-in security features of the operating system, and those security features are part of what keeps the operating system safe and your data secure from exposure or corruption. Today’s smartphones operate in an environment filled with threats from attackers, buggy or malicious applications, anything that reduces the internal controls in the Android operating system represents a higher risk.
